How do I report anti-social behaviour, hate crime, domestic abuse or other criminal activity?
We define domestic abuse as:
Any single incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or who have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality. This can include, but is not limited to: psychological, physical, sexual, financial and emotional abuse.
We’re committed to tackling all forms of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is a breach of our tenancy conditions and we may act against anyone causing it.

Hate crime is aggravated by hate of someone’s age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual preference, religion or belief. It can include:
- Verbal or written abuse
- Physical assault
- Incitement
- Damage to property
- Arson
We take hate crime extremely seriously and will deal with all reports of it swiftly.

What should I do if I need emergency accommodation?
If you need emergency accommodation, you will need to talk to the local authority’s Housing Options Team. They will make you an appointment with an advisor who will talk to you about your options and give you advice on securing alternative accommodation.

Please note, you may not qualify for housing via Homeseeker Plus if you have more than 8 weeks of current or former housing debt or if you have been evicted for anti-social behaviour.

What should I do if I suspect tenancy fraud?
Tenancy fraud can include:
- Falsely obtaining a housing association or council property
- Moving out and letting the property to someone else
- Not living at the property but living somewhere else
